Will you marry me?
Posted by equilibrium2008 under Inspirational, Life, Literature, Love, Personal | Tags: heartbreak, Life, Love, stories, women |I got this from a friend in my email. I find this story very touching. Hope you will like it too..
There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she’s blind. She also hated everyone, except her boyfriend who has always been there for her. She used to say if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she was able to see everything, including her loyal boyfriend.
Her boyfriend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”
The girl was so shocked to discover that her boyfriend was blind too. So she refused to marry him.
Shaken by this rejection, her boyfriend walked away in tears. He later wrote a short note to her saying, “Please take good care of my eyes.”
This is how humans behave when their status changes. Only few remember what life was before, and who has always been there for them even in the most painful situations.
I hope whenever we have someone with us during our lowest point in life, we won’t also forget about them if we are doing well again. Sometimes, we tend to forget those people who have stick with us during these times but only remembers them whenever we are again on the same situation.
I hope this story will teach us a lesson. Learn to appreciate those people who love us and stayed with us through good and bad times.

I’ve received this email before too. It’s so sad in a way.
Love the pic you used.
And I think the best things in life cannot be seen using our eyes. We have to see them using our hearts.

Tim - thanks for the compliment. I am glad that you are enjoying my blog. Basically I just put here anything and everything that catches my attention or something that is related to my current life/
Su - Yes I totally agree with you. Sometimes, what we see using our eyes are not real. We also have to use our hearts whenever we want to know if these things are for real.

hi equilibrium…
very touching story…from the beginning to the end i love this story its full of reality on both side the good and the no so good characters of people…
i saw myself if i am the character of the boyfriend…i think i would do the same gave my eyes to my beloved ones…its sad realty that the girlfriend after the kindness done to her was still “blind inside” after she received the gift of eyesight, she dumped her boyfriend because he was “blind”. I believe what the boyfriend did was right…to left the ungrateful and superficial girl…She didn’t deserved him in the first place
anyways…thanks for sharing ^_^
SMILE ALWAYS…^_^

Yes, I think your girlfriend is so lucky to have you.
Sometimes, people tends to look more on the physical than what’s the character of the person. We sometimes judge by their physical looks and not with their attitude.
